At EXPLORATIONS young people receive the practical tools, support and coaching they need for career development, employment and educational success. The youth of today are the workforce for tomorrow. EXPLORATIONS seeks to increase the capacity of our next generation workforce through partnerships with employers, educators and other community members.

EXPLORATIONS is a satellite site of WORKFORCE NAPA, providing employment and education resources to the youth of Napa County.

EXPLORATIONS Drop In Center

The Drop In Center supports youth who are exploring their future by helping them in their search for a successful career pathway. As the only One-Stop Center for youth in Napa, the Drop In Center provides:
• One:One career exploration and development coaching
• Job Skills Coaching
• Educational Support
• Support for youth seeking financial aide and scholarships for school
• Access the job board for current employment opportunities

Youth Employment: Job Placement & Support

Our mission is to connect under served youth in Napa with employers who are willing to make a positive impact on our next generation's workforce. The EXPLORATIONS Internship Program supports local businesses and organizations by providing a dedicated employee who is eager to learn the trade and meet your specific employment needs. To that end we offer employers subsidized wages for youth professional development.

EXPLORATIONS works with employers to identify potential job opportunities as well as internships that match our current pool of job seekers. Once employed, youth and employers receive support and assistance to ensure that the youth is successful and moving forward in their chosen career path.

Green Futures

The Green Futures training program prepares youth to build a green tomorrow, through on the job training and educational support. Green Futures partners with Napa Valley employers to provide youth with the skills and experience they need to step into the green job market.

C.R.U.I.S.E. Summer Youth Employment

Through Federal stimulus grants EXPLORATIONS has been able to provide subsidized youth employment during the summer of 2009 and 2010. Industries included construction, hospitality, childcare, clerical, landscape maintenance, solar canvassing, warehouse production, automotive, and animal care. Over 150 youth have been placed in summer youth employment through EXPLORATIONS.
